Faith Fellowship Chapel

"For God so loved the world that He gave His One and Only Son,

that whoever Believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."

Meaning:

HE LOVES, HE GAVE,

WE BELIEVE, WE LIVE!

"Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners — of whom I [Paul] am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display His unlimited patience as an example for those who would Believe on Him and receive eternal Life. Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the Only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen"

(1 Timothy 1:15-17).

Thank you for visiting Faith Fellowship Chapel's website! We are an independent assembly of reformed Christ-followers. Our people come from many different churches (Protestant and others) and cultural backgrounds (such as Irish, Portuguese, and Spanish). We are all united in lifting up Jesus, who is "the Way, the Truth, and the Life" (John 14:6). We Believe that New Life Begins at the Cross (1 Corinthians 1:18). Based upon God's Word, we find in the Book of Acts the first official history book of the New Testament. The very first sermon of the early church was not in a church or chapel. It was delivered from a balcony during the week of Pentecost by the Apostle Peter. At that time there were an undetermined number of people who would have been the "planters" of this first place of Worship. We know that there were just enough to fit into a room above a house. According to Acts 2:42-47 the first services and teachings were described: "They devoted themselves to the Apostles' teaching and to the Fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the Apostles. All the Believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as they had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the Temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved."

As our Brothers and Sisters in Christ recorded in the Book of Acts, we seek to continue the work of "planting" a place of Worship. There are numerous faithful churches in the area that proclaim the Truth of God's Word as written, therefore we do not seek to entice other True Believers to leave their current House of Worship and join in "planting" this new House of Worship. While we understand this may occur, this is not our purpose, but rather to expand the Kingdom of God. We want to Live the "Good News" wherever it is we find ourselves throughout the week. We seek to be part of our wonderful community, to be good neighbors, good friends, good servants, and in Fellowship with like-minded churches.

At the Chapel, we take some things seriously, but not everything. For instance, we don't take our caffeine too seriously. You won't be able to receive a double-mocha fudge-latte… just a coffee, tea, cocoa, or juice. But you will find delicious goodies and enjoyable friendly conversation during our time of Fellowship after most of our Teaching Worship services! We don't take our building space we rent too seriously. We do take good care of it, of course, but we know that it's just the shell for more important things. We don't, as of yet, have musicians, so we are blessed to be able to make a joyful noise unto the Lord acappella style during the singing of contemporary and traditional music. Nor do we have glittering technological equipment, although we delight in the very small group of faithful children, youth, and adults who love the Lord and call Faith Fellowship Chapel their home. In a secularized culture of addiction to almost anything, we dissociate ourselves from formats, equipment, or any other materialistic efforts of works, as what "holds" us together. What "holds" us together is the Gospel of our Lord. He is our purpose for "planting" this Chapel to share Christ with others. He is the "glue" that binds us together. He is our Rock. The youth & young adults of today are not looking for temporary "feel good" church experiences; they are looking for a way to personally connect with God. This is why we acknowledge and proclaim the death, burial, and bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ. He is the Fountain of ALL Spiritual Life. Therefore, we do take our spiritual growth seriously, but it happens primarily through relationships, with Jesus and one another. We don't have a program for everything, but we do have the groups and programs we need to grow IN Christ and serve together, such as our Sunday Worship: 9:30am Remembrance service is a time of beautiful remembrance of Christ's sacrificial on our behalf, the first day of every week with the Lord's Supper. Our 10:00am Teaching service is a verse by verse teaching from the Bible, making fully-devoted Disciples of Jesus Christ; Have a Cup of "Joe" Fellowship and Bible Study mid-week Worship service; Kid Zone, Where kids CONNECT with Christ; Youth & Young Adult; Fellowship; and Prayer ministries, and new ideas form as programs become needed. And, we don't take ourselves too seriously, since there are no perfect people at the Chapel, and we often laugh at ourselves. We understand it's not about us, it's all about Him, and what He's doing in and through us each day for His honor and glory as we, together, work to advance His Kingdom through our Life IN Christ!

No matter your background, whether you have placed your trust in Jesus Christ alone as your Savior & Lord or not, churched or un-churched, confused about God or His Word, been disappointed by church or hurt by religion, Protestant or other, it would be our great joy and privilege to meet you and serve you in any way we can IN Christ's Name. It is my prayer that God will lead you to become part of our Chapel family and experience the amazing love and peace of Christ in your daily Life. Every family needs a "church home," and we hope that you will consider making Faith Fellowship Chapel, where Jesus is Savior & Lord, yours. Jesus cares about you and loves you, and so do we!

May the Lord Christ Jesus bless you and guide you as you seek your church home,

Lyle Wicker

Pastor

Our only Purpose is Jesus Christ…

1. Reaching out to people in need of Jesus Christ.

2. Caring for one another with the love of Jesus Christ.

3. Growing in maturity to become like Jesus Christ.

4. Worshiping the Living God because of Jesus Christ.

We are here because God's Word declares salvation is available

only through personal Faith in Jesus Christ!

"Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under Heaven given to men, women, boys, and girls by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12).
